From Island Streets to 80’s Beats: Day 5 on Oasis of the Seas

Today was all about sun, shopping, good eats, and big 80’s energy!

We pulled into the gorgeous island of Aruba early this morning. First impression? It is a loooong walk to town from where Oasis docks! But hey, with the warm breeze and blue skies, it was a perfect stroll to wake up the legs.

Once we got into town, we shopped around and snagged a couple of new t-shirts (because you can never have too many, right?). We also poked around the straw market by the waterfront — tons of colorful crafts, handmade goodies, and souvenirs everywhere you looked. Aruba definitely knows how to charm you with its local flair.

Of course, I had to snap a ton of pics — colorful buildings, cool murals, beachy views — this place is pure postcard material.

After wandering back to the ship, we chilled out at the Promenade for a bit, soaking up that lively vibe (seriously, the people-watching on this ship is top tier). Then it was time for some grub, so we hit up the Windjammer Café for lunch. I had a burger (solid!) and some Asian chicken wings that were chef’s kiss delicious. Totally hit the spot after the morning adventure.

Dinner tonight was “French Night” in the main dining room — and you guessed it… escargot again! (lol). I could not resist. For the main course, I went all in on the beef tenderloin — it was melt-in-your-mouth good. French Night is definitely one of the best foodie nights on board!

We wrapped up the night at the Music Hall for 80’s Night, and it was an absolute blast! Live band, all the hits, people dancing like nobody’s watching — pure fun.

Tomorrow we are kicking back with a sea day — can’t wait for some serious chill time after all the exploring!

Stay tuned — Sea Day and Perfect Day at Coco cay coming up!
