Something new to Taste

I wrote this poem that I turned into a song, about leaving my life as a chef behind and now I crave to travel and be a travel Blogger click the link and listen to the song.

[Verse 1]

I used to dance with fire in the kitchen light

Chasing flavors deep into the night

The rhythm of the knife, the sizzle, the steam

But now I’m dreaming outside the dream

White coat’s hung, and the burners are cold

But there’s a hunger that never grows old

It’s not just food I’m craving these days

It’s winding roads and wide open space

[Chorus]

I wanna wake up in a brand new place

With the sun on my shoulders, breeze in my face

Searching for something new to taste

A street cart, a spice, a sweet unknown grace

The world is waiting, my bags are packed

I’m not looking back

Adventure’s got me by the hand

And I’m finally making plans

[Verse 2]

City cafés, open-air stalls

Cooking with strangers in old market halls

Flavors I’ve never even tried to name

Every bite tells me I’ll never be the same

There’s a joy in not knowing what comes next

Like recipes without the steps

Let the journey simmer low and slow

‘Cause where it’s going, I don’t need to know

[Chorus]

I wanna wake up in a brand new place

With the sun on my shoulders, breeze in my face

Searching for something new to taste

A rooftop toast or a countryside plate

The world is waiting, my bags are packed

No looking back

Adventure’s calling me by name

And I’m not playing it safe

[Bridge]

All I need is a fork, a flame, and a song

A road beneath and a heart that’s strong

Life’s a recipe I’m learning day by day

Seasoned with wonder and a dash of brave

[Final Chorus – soft, reflective]

I’ll wake up in a brand new place

Let the sunrise write across my face

Still searching for something new to taste

And somehow finding more than just a plate

The world is waiting, and now I see

The table’s laid for me

This is the life I choose to make

Every step, every bite I take
