Help Me Decide — I’ll Go for the Food or Adventure
I get asked this question a lot:
“Where are you traveling next?”
And honestly? I don’t always have the answer.
Because sometimes the best trips aren’t planned — they’re suggested.
Here’s what you should know about me before you recommend anything:
I once rode 300 miles for lunch.
Not an event. Not a vacation. Lunch.
So if your answer involves great food, I’m already interested.
Let’s Make This a Conversation
Instead of me telling you where you should go next, I want you to tell me where I should go.
Think about:
A meal you still talk about A restaurant you’d drive hours for again A town or city that surprised you with its food scene A stop that turned into a memory
If it made you say, “This was worth the trip,” I want to hear about it.
Food Is the Destination
Some people travel for beaches.
Some travel for landmarks.
I travel for plates, menus, and places where locals say, “You gotta try this.”
I’m looking for:
Hole-in-the-wall spots with big flavors Small towns doing food right Cities where every meal feels like part of the culture Places you’d recommend without hesitation
White tablecloths are fine — but they’re not required.
If the parking lot is full and the sign looks a little faded, that’s usually a good sign.
If You’d Drive for It, I’ll Listen
I’ve proven I’ll go the distance for a great meal.
So tell me:
What’s the place you’d plan a trip around? Where would you tell a friend, “Trust me — it’s worth it”? What destination surprised you the most with its food?
Bonus points if it’s the kind of place you accidentally found and now won’t stop recommending.
More Than Just Food
Of course, food is the hook — but the best destinations usually come with:
A great vibe Friendly locals A town you didn’t expect to love Stories you can’t wait to tell
Those are the trips that stick with you.
Now It’s Your Turn
So let’s hear it:
Where should I travel next?
What’s the one food spot or destination you’d send me to without thinking twice?
Drop it in the comments, send it my way, or tell me the story behind it — because the next trip might start with your recommendation.
And if I end up driving hundreds of miles for it?
I’ll let you know how it was.
I’m Brian — and until the next stop, remember…
take the trip.
