As our unforgettable cruise aboard Oasis of the Seas comes to a close, we could not have asked for a better send-off than a day at Royal Caribbean’s private island—Perfect Day at CocoCay. We had heard so much about this tropical paradise, and today we finally got to see what all the buzz was about!
We kicked off the morning with breakfast at the Windjammer buffet—always a crowd-pleaser. From made-to-order omelets to fresh pastries and crispy bacon, there was something for everyone, and everything hit the spot.

After breakfast, it was time to disembark and head down the dock to CocoCay. I had a mission in mind: find the ultimate spot—close to the beach, near the swim-up bar at the pool, and just a short stroll to the lunch buffet. Mission accomplished! We scored the perfect shady spot under the trees, right in the heart of the action.

Candi and I took a relaxing walk along the beach, snapped some photos, and soaked in the tropical vibes. Then I found my way to the bar where I met up with Bill and Ryan, our cruise drinking buddy from Michigan. The cocktails were flowing, and the poolside views were unbeatable. The girls kicked back on loungers and enjoyed some sun and relaxation.

Lunchtime took us to the Beach BBQ buffet, where I was pleasantly surprised by freshly made chicken tacos on homemade tortillas. The spread also included hamburgers, hotdogs, deli sandwiches, fresh fruit, salads, and all the fixings. The food, combined with the laid-back island atmosphere, made for a perfect midday break.

As the afternoon wore on, we soaked up every moment of chill island vibes before heading back to the ship. A quick snack held us over while we tackled the one part of cruising no one likes—packing.

Dinner that evening was our farewell meal in the main dining room. I went all out with escargot one last time and followed it with a flavorful lamb shank. It was a classy way to wrap up our dining experience onboard.

To close out the night, we made our way to the Music Hall to catch one last performance from our favorite band, a great send-off full of live music and energy. Then it was off to bed, with early disembarkation looming.
On the final morning, we grabbed one last breakfast at the buffet (still as good as day one), and then it was time to say goodbye to the Oasis of the Seas. We walked off with our luggage and were off in record time, smooth and efficient.
Final Thoughts:
Ship – 5 Stars
Service – 5 Stars
Food – Buffet 4 Stars
Main Dining Room – 3 Stars (tasty, but needs more creative menu options)
Entertainment – 5 Stars Loved the Music Hall and Aqua Show—stage shows were not really to my liking.
This was an impressive cruise from beginning to end. We absolutely love the vibe and design of the Oasis-class ships. We made incredible memories and cannot wait to sail on her again soon.
