I’m Brian from Take the Trip. and today we are going to talk about Bucket List!

Everyone’s got a travel bucket list — a little (or long) mental scroll of places you want to see, things you want to do, and moments you want to live before you trade your suitcase for slippers. Mine? It’s part-bold, part beautiful, and a little bit bonkers. Some are big dream destinations halfway across the globe, others are right here in the good ol’ USA — but every one of them makes me feel alive just thinking about it.
So here is my travel bucket list. Because life is too short not to chase the adventure.
🌊 1. Stay in an Over-the-Water Bungalow in Bora Bora

Let us kick it off with the ultimate “I made it” vacation. Crystal-clear water, breakfast delivered by canoe, and a bungalow where the floor is literally glass — so you can watch fish swim while you sip your morning coffee. This is not just a trip — it’s a whole mood. One that screams: peace, quiet, and no cell signal.
🧱 2. Walk the Great Wall of China

One of the greatest human feats ever built. I want to walk it, take in the view, and feel that surreal sense of standing on centuries of history. I might not make it the full 13,000 miles, but even a mile or two of those ancient stones would do the trick.
🦈 3. Cage Dive with Sharks in South Africa

Yes, I said sharks. In a cage. Underwater. In South Africa. Call me crazy (you would not be the first), but something about staring into the eyes of a great white shark from inside a metal box makes me feel like I’d come back a new man — or at least one with a great story.
🚢 4. Cruise the Mediterranean

Italy, Greece, Spain, and France — all without unpacking more than once? Sign me up. A Mediterranean cruise sounds like the perfect blend of relaxing and historic, with just enough gelato and wine to make me forget I ever knew the word “work.”
🍺 5. Oktoberfest in Germany (With My Wife by My Side)

Beer, brats, and Bavarian bands? Count me in. But this is not just about the party — it is about sharing an unforgettable experience with my wife. Wandering Munich in traditional garb, clinking steins with strangers, and dancing polka (she can lead).
🎡 6. Explore London

History, tea, and double-decker buses — London has long been on my list. I want to see Big Ben, visit the Tower of London, eat fish and chips in a pub older than America, and maybe catch a show in the West End. Bonus points if I master the art of the British accent (or at least avoid butchering it).
🤿 7. Scuba Dive the Great Barrier Reef

The ocean’s crown jewel. I want to float through coral kingdoms, swim with sea turtles, and see colors you cannot find in any paint store. It is one of those places that makes you feel small in the best possible way.
Now… Back on U.S. Soil 🇺🇸
While those big international trips take some serious planning (and saving), there are adventures waiting for me right here at home — ones that are just as breathtaking and a little more doable on a weekend.
🦬 8. Yellowstone National Park

Geysers, bison, and jaw-dropping landscapes — Yellowstone is America’s wild, untamed backyard. I want to stand in front of Old Faithful, hike to a hidden waterfall, and soak in nature that looks like it belongs on another planet.
🌲 9. Yosemite National Park

Towering cliffs, ancient sequoias, and valleys that make you question if your phone’s camera can even handle it. Yosemite is the kind of place that makes you whisper “wow” even when you are alone.
🏞️ 10. Return to South Dakota

Sometimes the places you have already been hold the strongest pull. South Dakota is one of those for me — the open skies, the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, Badlands… It is rugged, real, and full of memories I’m ready to revisit and add to.
✈️ The Point of the List?
It is not just about checking boxes or snapping selfies in front of landmarks. It is about living boldly. It is about shared moments, wild stories, and saying yes to adventure — even if that means a long flight, a little fear, or just finding time to hit the road.

Whether it is halfway across the world or just down the interstate, every trip on this list is part of the life I want to live.
So, here’s to ticking them off — one unforgettable trip at a time.
Now I want to hear from YOU — what is on your travel bucket list?
Is it sipping coffee in Paris? RV’ing cross-country? Hiking Machu Picchu?
